This policy sets out how the Affinity ID Pty Ltd, ABN 80 149 573 553 (Affinity ID) complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993.
Affinity ID will collect personal and web browser information that is reasonably expected to perform our business and provide optimal experience for the individuals and companies with whom we have dealings with.
Direct information captured may include names, job function, business interests and contact details. This information is generally collected directly from you via our website when you provide information on forms. In some circumstances we may collect information about you from publicly available sources (e.g. by way of a company search) or by phone conversation with a colleague or associate.
You have the option of dealing with Affinity ID anonymously when making an inquiry regarding our functions or activities although Affinity ID reserves the right to limit information to anonymous parties.
Affinity ID may enrich your information with use of website behavioural tracking through the use of cookies. These cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you.
The use of cookies helps us deliver better customer service and more relevant content. This includes:
- Enabling a service to recognise your device so you don’t have repeat information several times during one task
- Recognising you may already have given a username and password so you don’t need to do it for every web page

Given the international nature of Affinity ID’s business, we may share your personal information to Affinity ID offices overseas. We will take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients do not breach the Privacy Act 1993 or is subject to requirements similar to the Privacy Act 1993 (under laws similar to the Privacy Act or by way of a binding contractual requirement).
You may request access to personal information held by Affinity ID and request that it be corrected if inaccurate. Affinity ID will provide you all known personal information except in limited circumstances set out in the Privacy Act. If we refuse a request for access or correction to personal information, we will provide written reasons for that refusal. We will respond to a request for access or correction within 30 days of a request being made. Requests for correction of personal information can be made to the contact below.

If you make a complaint to Affinity ID about how we have handled your personal information, we will contact you regarding whether an investigation will be conducted, who to contact about the matter and an estimated timeframe for resolving the complaint.
